Description
Hello. We are the tech team at Voxy. Our team has need of a special blend of frontend chops, experience working in a variety of backend languages and frameworks, and creating clean, fast loading, standards compliant code. We are looking for someone who can master and extend our front-end stack from the controller to the browser, implementing new features and optimizing existing ones.
Nuts and bolts wise, we’re an iterative agile shop of high achievers who embrace the startup life. We love good coffee, good beer, our Soho location, our no-nonsense approach to creating an energetic, collaborative yet casual work environment. Requirements
Expert in CSS/XHTML (and cross-browser compatibility)
Expert in Javascript w/ jQuery and AJAX
Experience with web apps targeted to mobile platforms
Experience working with a variety of backend and frontend platforms/frameworks
An understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 and where it’s appropriate to push those solutions
Highly Independent, problem-solving work style
Bonus
Specific experience with Django in a frontend team context
Strong interest in our space - education
Previous work in a start-up setting
Looking for portfolio links, blogs and so on, tell us and show us your skills
